Preparing for the Storm with Bavis Hurricane Windows
Friday, July 14, 2017
While there hasn’t been much activity yet, as of June 1, hurricane season is officially underway. Some might wonder why this of significance to a drive-thru tube system company, but those experienced in the industry know all too well.
Bavis provides everything your organization needs for an effective and efficient drive up operation, including tube systems, transaction drawers, lane nights, and bullet resistant windows. For our pharmacy and banking clients in hurricane zones, those windows also need to be hurricane resistant.
Bavis is one of few companies that manufactures Hurricane Zone Windows certified by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation of the State of Florida. Our hurricane impact drive thru windows have a minimum of Level 1 UL Listed Bullet Resistant glass, as all of our windows do, as well as the option for insulated bullet resistant glass. Most importantly, they are rated at 75lbs per square foot.
Certified for wood, steel, or concrete, Bavis hurricane windows are available in numerous sizes. The frames are finished with a corrosion resistant powder coat before they are tested and certified. We then mount the glass in the frame before the window is shipped to reduce installation costs.
When tropical storms and high velocity winds rolls through, don’t be caught in the rain. Call Bavis. We’ll keep you dry.
